Synopsis:
Serial killer Clay Dobson, who was released after Mac arrested the cop who put him away (see ep 3.08, "Consequences"), strikes again. A man with ties to the Russian Mafia is killed with Ricin. Stella gets her HIV test results.Tropes for the episode:
- Car Cushion: Dobson falls from a rooftop, landing on a squad car.
- Eye Scream: Dobson's MO is cutting his victims' eyelids off before he kills them so that he will be the last thing they see.
- Girls With Mustaches: A strand of beard hair with female DNA is found during the Ricin case. Danny has a Eureka Moment and takes Sheldon with him to question some circus folk at Coney Island, one of whom is a Bearded Lady. The performers provide the pair with valuable information.
- Rooftop Confrontation: Mac and Dobson get into a scuffle on top of the office building where Dobson works as an architect. The scene will be shown differently over three episodes, with which scenario actually happened being revealed in "...Comes Around."
- Sequel Episode: The Dobson story continues through the next two episodes as well.
