Synopsis:
A model collapses and dies on the runway during a show; then a second is found bludgeoned to death. Meanwhile, a terminally ill patient confesses to shooting his doctor.Tropes for the episode:
- As Himself: Entertainment Tonight reporter Mark Steines, who is there to cover the fashion show.
- Body Paint: The models' outfits are painted on by their designer.
- False Confession: The patient confesses even though it is his wife who killed the doctor.
- Fashion Show: Models are wearing *literally* painted-on swimwear. One dies on the runway because the heat from the lights activates drugs that were mixed into the paint, which was used by accident, and another is bludgeoned to death backstage when she catches the drug dealer trying to steal back the cans of the paint that were mistakenly delivered there.
- Quack Doctor: A woman posing as a doctor uses unverified folk remedies to milk her patients of their life savings, and when all their money is gone, she accepts jewelry as payment. The wife of a man with a rare blood disease is finally driven over the edge after the leech treatments the "doctor" uses on the husband repeatedly fail to work, and shoots her in an alley.
- Taking the Heat: The patient confesses to his wife's crime in an effort to prevent her from going to prison, knowing he only has a short while to live anyway.
