A hoarder's remains fall through the floor of his apartment and into the apartment below, necessitating the Jeffersonian to slog through the deceased's hoard to determine cause of death. Meanwhile, the team starts to develop plans that will split them up for a year: Booth training soldiers in apprehending insurgents, Brennan and Daisy to the Maluku islands, and Hodgins and Angela on a Paris honeymoon. Also, Angela's dad (Billy Gibbons) makes an appearance, asking Hodgins to help him steal back the dad's car.

Bones and Daisy go on a one year trip to the Maluku Islands, breaking up their partnerships with Booth and Sweets. Booth goes back to the army for a one year stint in Afghanistan teaching soldiers to hunt terrorists. Angela and Hodgins finally go to Paris so she can finally fulfill that dream and cementing their marriage. Cam stays at the Jeffersonian without most of her team, holding down the fort until everyone else returns.
