Tropes

  • Screw the Rules, I Have Connections!: Booth gets himself and Cam into Iran in a matter of hours by calling in a favor with Danny, his friend in the CIA.
  • Screw the Rules, I Make Them!: Arastoo is kidnapped and forced to investigate a corpse by a powerful Iranian politician.
  • Secret-Keeper: The victims cousin, a local cop, seems a bit too brusque and secretive while cooperating with Booth. While he turns out to be innocent of the murder, it turns out that he was aware that his cousin was a political activist who violated Islamic Law (something he'd let him get away with either out of family loyalty or due to secretly sharing his views) and has been trying to keep his more conservative uncle from finding this out.
  • Traveling at the Speed of Plot: Booth and Cam somehow flew from Washington, D.C. to Tehran, Iran so fast, that Arastoo was just starting with the autopsy of the Iranian victim.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: Brennan rips Booth a new one for relapsing on gambling, repeatedly lying about it, digging himself a $30,000 hole, and putting her and Christine at risk. Then she kicks him out of the house.
