Silver gives Flint the last details of the schedule with the location of the ship. Eleanor's situation changes when the supply ships get sunk in the bay. Meanwhile with Mutiny rising up aboard the Walrus, Gates makes a vital decision.

Anti-Climax Boss: Ultimately, the Urca de Lima. Despite being built up as a heavily armed and dangerous opponent which Flint and crew had been preparing all season to fight, the ship was done in by a storm and wrecked on the Florida beach, along with all its cargo of gold. - Apologetic Attacker: Flint strangles Gates to death when he elects to stop the Urca hunt then and there, though it kills him to murder what was one of the only real friends he had left in the world.
- Cradling Your Kill: Flint does this after killing Gates.
- Crucified Hero Shot: After being flung into the sea by an explosion, Flint sinks with his arms outstretched.
- Curb-Stomp Battle: The Walrus and the Ranger vs. the Spanish Man O' War, which ends with the Spanish blowing both pirate ships to splinters.
- Distracted by the Sexy: Anne is briefly distracted by the sight of Max bathing.
- Fate Worse than Death: Charles Vane says this about his blacklisting of Jack Rackham and Anne Bonny from ever being pirates again.
- Hope Spot: At first, the Ranger and Walrus manage to inflict some damage on the Spanish Man O War and even cause a small explosion on board, which elicits a cheer from the Walrus crew. Unfortunately, the ship still manages to come about and bring its guns to bear, which blow both ships to Hell.
- The Mutiny: Dufresne and DeGroot lead one against Flint after he makes one more misstep too many.
- R-Rated Opening: The episode opens rather gratuitously with a prostitute riding a man like she means it.
- Seadog Pegleg: Subverted. Mr. Howell makes a pegleg for Randall, but Randall refuses to wear it. He ends up using it as a cudgel instead.
- Tempting Fate: Silver asks why anyone would believe Dufresne’s accusations when it is his word against Flint’s. Immediately, Dufresne holds up a letter written by Mr. Gates with incriminating evidence against Captain Flint.
- Wham Episode: Flint murders Gates, Dufresne leads a mutiny and deposes Flint, the Walrus is almost destroyed in battle with a Spanish Man O' War and its revealed that the Urca was shipwrecked nearby the whole time, along with all its gold.
- Uncertain Doom: The Ranger crew is never seen again after this episode but seeing as the Ranger blew up during the battle and the Walrus managed to escape without being pursued its likely the Ranger men were abandoned and wiped out wholesale by the Spanish.
- You Are in Command Now: After killing Gates, Flint signals Mr. Thompson to take command of the Ranger.
