The last part of the "I, Davros" mini-series Big Finish did in 2006.

Here is the official summary:

After his capture on Necros, Davros is destined to face the justice of the Daleks. He sits alone, isolated in his cell. His creations will no longer listen to him. But out of the darkness comes a voice...

Davros is no longer alone in his torment. Before he faces trial on the planet Skaro, he must go through an ordeal that will force him to the very limits of his sanity.

But where do his true loyalties lie? How will he face the future?

Due to the nature of this story, there will be unmarked spoilers below!

  • Ambiguous Situation: Did Davros truly contemplate listening to Lareen and actually going through with destroying the Daleks like she asked and thus begin atoning for creating them, or did he always intend to use her and then have her get killed? Lareen likes to believe that the former was the case. After she tells Davros this, there's a brief pause, adding some more ambiguity to the moment. Is he annoyed, irritated or angry with her for believing this? Is he hesitant to admit she was right? Is it some mixture of the two or something else entirely? It's really up to interpretation.
  • Laughing Mad: Davros does this when Lareen tells him she's going to try to save him.
  • Redemption Rejection: Davros doesn't repent at the end of the story. Instead, he uses the chance Lareen gave him - intending for him to destroy the Daleks - to blackmail them into making him their leader again... Of course.
  • Those Two Guys: Gus and Raz.
  • Too Dumb to Live: Poor Lareen. She was too oblivious to Davros' manipulative and megalomaniacal nature to see that he was going to backstab her and then have her get killed.
