Tom has spent a good ten years away from Iris, and wrote a couple of books detailing their adventures together. This goes quite well right up until Iris crashes one of his book readings, makes him take her out for pizza, hands him a crystal containing large chunks of her memory, and rides off on horseback with Robin Hood and his Merry Men.
While Iris mucks about in Sherwood and meets a demonic head on a stick that's after her memories, Tom and Panda find out that Tom's publisher secretly works for MIAOW (the Ministry for Incursions And Other Wonders), an organisation that's after Iris. Panda does manage to save the day, but the crystal is shattered, leaving Iris with giant gaps in her memory and no recollection of most of her adventures. She decides to go have some new ones, feeling quite refreshed by the whole thing and free of emotional baggage.
Tropes:
- Devil in Plain Sight: Tom's publisher is a company called "Satan & Satan". ... Yeah, it's evil.
- Rule of Funny: Pretty much the entire episode, but Robin Hood and his Merry Men in particular.
- Twofer Token Minority: Lampshaded. Tom being mixed-race and gay helps tremendously for his book sales.
