Ben, Rook, Hobble and Rad Dudesman come face to face with the evil Lord Transyl, a vampire-like alien who can make anyone his loyal slave.

- Arson, Murder, and Jaywalking: Ben gives a rundown of his current situation after he transforms into Whampire for the first time.Whampire: I've got a planet full of monsters after me… an alien vampire just turned my friends into puppets… (a fly buzzes near him, which he eats) …and my appetite is really weird.
- Enemy Mine: Viktor betrays Zs'Skayr and helps Ben despite the former's assurance that he can keep Lord Transyl in check. Viktor would rather not take any chances with the Vladats due to them being his natural predator and having enslaved him and his people centuries ago.
- Even Evil Has Standards: While Viktor is loyal to Zs'Skayr, he's clearly not happy with his master's plan to resurrect Lord Transyl and the Vladat race, as they were tyrants over Transylians in the past. This is what ultimately leads him to betray them both and help Ben destroy the Vladat clones.Viktor: (after crushing the Corruptura Lord Transyl tried to spit at Ben) I hate the Vladats, even more than I hate you! They must never rule again!
- Fate Worse than Death: Viktor imprisons Lord Transyl in a containment unit, leaving him in orbit of the Anur System's sun. And since sunlight can't outright kill Vladats… let's just say he's in for a very painful existence.
- No-Sell: Hobble's species has a natural coat of slime on their skin, which is slippery enough to prevent a Corruptura from latching onto him.
- Our Vampires Are Different: Vladats feed on life energy rather than blood, and can spit small objects called Corrupturas, which control the bodies of whoever they stick to against their will. And while bright light is still very harmful to them, it doesn't outright kill them.
- Ungrateful Bastard: After Ben saves everyone from Lord Transyl's control, he gets decked in the face by Rad, all because he had used Rad’s ship, The Lovely Duck, to smash into Zs'Skayr's castle.
