- Black Comedy Burst: After Ben 23 questions who Vilgax is, an employee walks by with a fried calamari.
- Blatant Lies: Ben 23 amends his list of aliens from “50” to “90” after learning that Ben 10 has 70. He also claims that Mr. Smoothy in his universe was “accidentally” destroyed by him as Giant Manster.
- Color-Coded for Your Convenience: Everything in Dimension 23 is coloured blue, with the exception of the recurring Bit Part Bad Guys, who are orange.
- Fantastic Racism: Azmuth 23’s minions attacking Ben to recover his Omnitrix has led to the people of Dimension 23 assuming all aliens are evil.
- Foil: Ben 23 is everything our Ben isn’t. He’s immature, willing to misuse his abilities for personal desires, delegates street crime to the cops and is fame-hungry. All of this is justified by the fact his Grandpa Max died before he received the Omnitrix, but after Azmuth had sent it out into the universe.
- Giver of Lame Names: Ben 23 has much weaker naming choices than Ben 10, though he admits that Feedback is way better than his chosen name “Plug Man”.
- Thou Shalt Not Kill: Ben reaffirms this view when he sees Ben 23 about to rip his universe’s Azmuth in half, telling him that if it ever comes down to killing, there’s no going back from it.
- Walking Spoiler: Due to this episode having originally aired out of production order, we know Ben regains the Feedback transformation.
