Ben Tennyson assembles a team to take on the Highbreed once and for all.
The Highbreed's invasion of the entire universe has begun, starting with the destruction of Galvan Prime, Azmuth's homeworld. He's brought to Earth by Professor Paradox as Ben, Gwen and Kevin assemble a team made up of allies as well as enemies. - Apocalypse How: Galvan Prime gets utterly obliterated by the Highbreed fleet.
- Bookends: The first episode began with Ben playing football during the day. This two-parter, which serves as the season finale, has Ben once again playing football, but at night.
- Boxed Crook: Darkstar is released from the Null Void to help fight the DNAliens
- The Bus Came Back: Ben reunlocks Master Control, which brings back his alien transformations from the classic series, specifically Upchuck, Cannonbolt, and Way Big. Wildmutt was also unlocked according to
Word of God, but we don't see him used onscreen. - Chekhov's Gun: Ben can cure the DNAliens using the Omnitrix, but doing it at large drains his energy. Cooper, a technopath, analyses the curing mechanism and builds curing guns out of his Mini-Mecha.
- Cliffhanger: Ben fails to destroy the Highbreed portal and passes out due to the energy outburst as the Highbreed fleet enters the Earth and prepares to destroy it.
- Continuity Nod: In Everybody Talks About the Weather, Alan stays behind to help the town if any more hostile aliens show up. In this episode, before he's recruited, he's doing exactly this, chasing a DNAlien through the crop field.
- Downer Ending: The team fails to stop the Highbreed from activating the portal as the fleet enters the Earth and prepares to destroy it.
- Enemy Mine: Ben's team not only consists of Paradox, Alan, Julie and Ship, as well as Cooper, but also Darkstar, who may be a villain, but certainly doesn't want the destruction of the planet.
- Gondor Calls for Aid: In order to deal with the invasion fleet, Gwen and Kevin gather all the allies from throughout the past 24 episodes (and Darkstar) to fight it off.
- Irony: In "All That Glitters", Ben wanted to recruit Michael Morningstar, believing his abilities would help tremendously in the fight against the Highbreed. Here, despite now having been established as a formidable and sociopathic villain, Michael ends up joining the team anyways due to the invasion threatening his way of life.
- Mini-Mecha: Cooper builds one in order to fight the DNAliens.
- My Friends... and Zoidberg: Ben’s initial reaction to seeing Julie among the gathered “Alien Force” to fight the Higbreed… until she summons Ship.
- Punny Name: Kevin's full name is revealed to be Kevin Ethan Levin. As in, Kevin E. Levin/Kevin Eleven. Ben mocks him for it.
- The Reveal: As revealed by Azmuth, the Omnitrix was built in the case of a species getting eradicated by the Highbreed, so it can be revived.
- Team Power Walk: Before going to Los Soledad, Ben and his entire team do this with an epic orchestral theme in the background.
- You Are Too Late: Ben attempts to rip the Highbreed portal out of the ground using Way Big. Unfortunately, the portal gets activated before he can do it. Ben gets pushed back, drops on the ground and transforms back.
