An alien ship has crash-landed on Earth, releasing a Galvanic Mechamorph that goes after Ben. Meanwhile, he and Julie, a girl from his school, go on a date.Tropes found in this episode:
- Aliens Steal Cattle: Baz-El says "And you wonder why most aliens only communicate with your livestock", invoking this trope.
- Amazingly Embarrassing Parents: Kevin adopts the persona of a stereotypical 50s father when dropping Ben and Julie off at the pier.
- Continuity Nod: Baz-El is a Galvanic Mechamorph, the same species as Upgrade. Ben acknowledges this and observes that was one of his old transformations.
- Cumbersome Claws: Brainstorm briefly struggles with opening a porta-potty door with his pincers so he can detransform without Julie seeing.
- Dark Is Not Evil: Ben spends much of the night thinking he's fending off attacks from Ship. Instead, Ship is trying to bring him back to Baz-El's damaged ship.
- Good All Along: Ship simply wants to bring Ben to Baz-El and rescue him, but Ben misunderstands his intentions, thinking he's getting attacked.
- Pokémon Speak: Ship can only speak one word, "Ship". This was borne out of his need to direct Ben to his master's ship.
- Relationship Upgrade: By the end of the episode, Ben and Julie become a couple.
- Relocating the Explosion: Baz-El's ship carries a device that's about to explode, so Ben turns into Humungousaur, takes it and throws it in the air.
- Status Quo Is God: Baz-El hands Ship over to Ben since he has no need for him and the pair have had a “lovely bonding experience”. Ship ends up running off before the episode is over, and Ben shrugs it off.
- Wham Episode: Julie learns Ben's secret, and the two officially become boyfriend and girlfriend.
