Tropes

  • Abandoned Catchphrase: Duke appears to be trying to figure out a catchphrase, with little success. He quickly scraps the one that Alfred and the Bat-cow witness.
Duke: Halt, criminal! Your days of doing crime are over!
  • Animal Lover: Damian apparently visits Bat-Cow regularly.
  • Ambiguous Situation: Is Damian actually beating his father that many times in a row, is Bruce letting him win so he can spend time with his son, or is Bruce actually salty about losing to a nine-year-old? We may never know...
  • Best Out of Infinity: Bruce keeps challenging Damian to another round or three of chess, which Damian attributes to his losing most of the games they've played.
  • Face Doodling: Alfred the cat and the Bat-Cow watch Steph and Cass draw a unibrow and facial hair on a sleeping Dick's face, giggling the whole time.
  • Interspecies Friendship: Bat-Cow and Alfred the cat seem to be friendly with each other. Bat-Cow nuzzles Alfred, who leads her around the manor and distracts people who might see her.
  • One-Steve Limit: Averted. Damian's cat is named Alfred. His intro blurb confirms that there's no relation to Alfred Pennyworth.
  • Smart People Play Chess: Bruce, aka World's Greatest Detective, and Damian, a Child Prodigy, are in the middle of a chess game when Alfred the Cat leads Bat-Cow through the manor.
  • Stealthy Colossus: Somehow, despite being the size of a normal heifer, Bat-Cow manages to wander through Wayne Manor without anyone definitely knowing she's there. Bruce seems to have spotted her, but he can't believe what he thinks he saw and lets it go.
  • Toilet Humor: The final panel shows Alfred looking irritated at the cow patty that's right outside the barn.
