Asura returns to the village with the girl from before, but it is bombarded by another fleet led by Olga. While Asura survives, he is overwhelmed with rage upon finding the girl has been killed, transforming into a demonic version of himself powerful enough to wipe out most of the armada.
Tropes:
- Downer Ending: Ahria and the rest of her village are all killed in a blind sweep by Olga to try (and fail) to kill Asura and Asura reaches the Despair Event Horizon, his rage turning him into Berserker Asura.
- Orbital Bombardment: Olga's solution for Asura is to carpet bomb the village he's staying in and hope for the best.
- Sacrificial Lion: It's Ahria's death that pushes Asura past the Despair Event Horizon and turns him into Berserker Asura.
- Superpowered Evil Side: While Asura on his own was a One-Man Army, Berserker Asura is an upgrade right into Person of Mass Destruction. With nothing but the power of his own runaway rage against the Seven Deities for their monstrous actions, Berserker Asura was able to knock Olga's fleet out of orbit all the way from the planet's surface.
- Taken for Granite: The battle took so much out of him, the episode starts with Asura regaining consciousness, his body a stone-like husk before waking up.
