Asura and Augus duel on the moon. Though Augus has the upper hand, Asura manages to break the sword and use the broken half to gut Augus, who dies satisfied with the duel.
Tropes:
- Boss-Only Level: The level begins and ends with Asura vs. Augus.
- Broke Your Arm Punching Out Cthulhu: Much like with his battle against Wyzen, Asura comes out of his fight with Augus without his arms.
- Cool Sword: Augus's sword Wailing Dark, a sword capable of channeling his Greed mantra into Sword Beams and can extend indefinitely. He only ever unsheathes it when facing a Worthy Opponent, something he has only done when fighting Asura and Deus.
- Deface of the Moon: During their fight, Augus levels the surface of the moon with his sword.
- Graceful Loser: As Augus bleeds out, he commends Asura for giving him "a hell of a battle." Considering what a Blood Knight he was, dying in battle against his former pupil was exactly how he wanted to go out.
- Hoist by His Own Petard: Asura kills Augus by gutting him with the very sword he tried impaling him with.
- I Am Not Left-Handed: Halfway through the battle, Augus unsheathes his sword Wailing Dark, something he only does against Worthy Opponents.
- Impaled with Extreme Prejudice: Augus extends his sword's blade so long, he runs it through Asura and the planet itself from one side of the Earth's crust to the other.
- Pummel Duel: Asura and Augus match blow for blow with their punches, most of them ending in second-long Punch Parry.
- Major Injury Underreaction: Missing arms aside, Asura gets back up and runs off with Augus' broken sword to kill some Gohma, completely fine despite having been run through with the sword.
- Shut Up, Hannibal!: At the start, player has the option to interrupt Augus's beginning monologue by punching him. Augus doesn't even flinch as he takes the hit right in the cheek, where he returns with a punch of his own.
