Recap / Asura's Wrath E10 "Words of Wisdom"

Go To

Asura falls back to earth where he encounters Augus, who convinces him to drink and relax before they fight.

Tropes:

  • Back Stab: After Asura's meter is full, Augus sucker punches Asura For the Lulz.
  • Breather Episode: While fighting it present in the Flashback, most of the episode is more toned down than previous ones, most of the drama of the plot taking a backseat while the rest is Played for Laughs.
  • Distracted by the Sexy: Asura has to snap himself out of staring at the harem-girl's breasts. One of the ways the player can fill the meter is lingering on that same girl's breasts long enough.
  • Good Old Ways: Augus admits that he preferred it back when they were all just the Eight Guardian Generals, finding Deus' plan "ridiculous" and seeing everyone's dependence on mantra to be why Kalrow and Wyzen died as they did.
  • Hot Springs Episode: The episode takes place entirely in the hot springs of Augus' estate, the fighting segment nothing but a Flashback to simpler times.
  • I Need a Freaking Drink: The player can have Asura drink sake directly from the bottle.
  • Too Dumb to Live:
    • One of the Mooks in the hot spring tries hiding under the water. The mook then resurfaces facedown, having drowned to death trying to hide from you.
    • One of the mooks in a group on the cliff accidentally slips and falls off.
    • The Giant Mook to you left gets up after enjoying the hotspring, only to slip backwards on the steps and dies instantly (either from a broken neck or head injury).
  • Villains Out Shopping: While some of the mooks definitely are spying on you during the first-person segment, some of them are clearly just there to enjoy the hotsprings, Augus having brought Asura to relax before they fight.

Augus

Augus is a hedonist who is only interested in personal satisfaction, including all the food he could eat, alcohol he could drink, women to love and battles to fight. Considering he possesses an affinity to greed mantra, this insatiable hunger for Earthly pleasures only makes him more powerful.
