Chapter 1
Sometime after the Charjabug Race, Ash is relaxing in Alola and reflecting on the friends he's made and the new companions he's caught, planning to take time to unwind.
Fate has other plans, however, as nearly the entire pantheon of the world's Legendary and Mythical Pokémon have assembled in the Hall of Origin. Arceus silences many ongoing arguments and tries to organize them to decide how to reward Ash for all the good he's done them. Latias suggests allowing Ash to catch them while Zekrom suggests passing on their signature attacks to his Pokémon, and the others assembled have mixed reactions to both ideas. Arceus comes to the decision that they should each reward Ash as they personally see fit, which satisfies everyone. She reflects with some apprehension on how the Legendaries will soon descend on Alola where Ash is.
