While Tobias' career takes off and Kitty tries to regain control of the company, Michael finally learns the full extent of his father's crimes.
The Arrested Development episode "Let 'Em Eat Cake" provides examples of:
- Balcony Escape: George Sr. escape the hospital via the window.
- Bookends:
- George repeats his "I've got the worst [bleep]ing attorneys" line from the first episode.
- Maeby once again kisses a family member with ulterior motives, only for the guy to get the wrong idea. Annyong's "Maybe we should kiss again to teach them a lesson" is almost an exact repeat of what George Michael said in the pilot.
- Finger in the Mail: Lucille mentions that they received threats from Iraq in form of a toe in the mail.
- No Longer with Us: Doctor Fishman, telling the Bluths about George's condition after an apparent heart-attack, says that he "lost him" and that he "just got away from us". He actually means that George has escaped out of the window.
- The Reveal: George has been creating model homes in Iraq to house Saddam Hussein.
