The beginning of beautiful hatred between Archer and his new stepfather plays out as the two are chased by gangsters.

- Epic Fail: Archer tries to get the fat guys to stop chasing them by tossing half of the money (making it rain) into them. He does so...and the wind blows it all away into another direction.
- Exact Words: In this gem of an exchange.Archer: And here Mother thinks you are hands down the most boringist man on this entire planet of Earth.Ron: She said that?Flashback Malory: He is hands down the most boringist man on this entire planet of Earth.Archer: ...Not in those exact words.
- Gonk: The creepy entourage of fat guys into strange erotic videos who kidnap Archer and Ron.
- I Never Said It Was Poison: Archer tries to escape from the fat guys by using his gun without bullets to pretend it's got bullets. A confused Ron blows it by pointing out the fact out loud, resulting in them getting chased. Played straight when Archer manages to scare two dangerous hobos from cutting them up.
- Insistent Terminology: Ron is Archer's mother's husband, not his stepdad.
- Retired Badass: Ron, of all people, is an ex-car thief/chop-shop owner.
