Carl's alcoholism gets him arrested, causing the Aqua Teens to stage an intervention.
"Intervention" contains examples of:
- The Alcoholic: Carl's alcoholism is played up with more importance this episode.
- Cop Hater: Carl has no respect for the authorities, right down to wanting to take a dump on a police car before Frylock stops him.
- Downer Ending: Carl continues to go on without learning to get over his alcoholism, using Rupert to make his breathalyzer work. A siren goes off before the end credits start, hinting Carl's about to get arrested again.
- Ink-Suit Actor: The officer that Carl has beef with is an African-American man with a mustache, making look very similar to his voice actor and the only guest actor this episode, Idris Elba.
- Police Are Useless: Surprisingly averted for this show; the officer that arrests Carl did so because he drove too fast in a residential area while clearly drunk. He also installs a breathalyzer in Carl's car to keep him from taking it anywhere if he drank beer.
