Bothering by the Book: Annoyed at Archie's comments about "dumb Polacks", Sergeant Pulaski delays his release by assigning his bail paperwork to the slowest typist in the station.
Culture Clash: Did we say yet that Archie really, really, REALLY had the time of his life in jail with all those young people who love rock operas, protesting and otherwise being hippies??? Huh, huh, HUH???!!!????
Explain, Explain... Oh, Crap!: Mike explains that he left when the protest started getting ugly, with the cops arresting everyone in sight... and realizes that Archie had walked right into the middle of that mess.
Jesus Was Way Cool: Archie isn't impressed one bit with one of his fellow inmates when he tries talking hip about Jesus Christ, doing a "I knew him before you ever did" bit. Of course, whether Archie was right or wrong is debatable, given that he himself has been in church four times over a 23-year period.
Moral Guardians: In the jail scene, plenty of references are made to Jesus Christ Superstar, and when several of his fellow inmates talk about the rock opera, Archie doesn't hesitate one second to express his disapproval.
New-Age Retro Hippie: Most of the "pinkos, commies, fags and dropouts" that Archie is stuck in jail with ... and once Archie opens his mouth, Sergeant Pulaski makes sure he'll never forget them.
You Talk Too Much!: When Archie rants and raves about dumb Polacks as Mike bails him out of jail. Unfortunately for Archie, Mike is not the only "dumb Polack" in the room, as he'll find out only after Sergeant Pulaski lets him finish.
