The siege on Ward 24 begins as Shu’s forces rush in to fight the Anti-Bodies, Endlaves, and Beasts of Eden.
Along the way, the Phantom Remnants and the Jones siblings encounter Shido, Kamoshida, and Owada that are revived by Da’ath. The three villains combine to become a Chimaera monster, but the Phantom Remnants and the Jones siblings defeat them in sending them back to Hell, and Kamoshida personally is brutally decapitated by Ann herself. Shu and the Reigizan fight the Oni-Blade Slasher and kill the Jason/Shredder-like monster, at the cost of Masaru’s life. The protagonists regroup in slaying the Aragami.
At the top floor, as Gai is removing Inori’s memories, both talk about how Shu’s involvement changes them. Inori then sings her song for Shu to hear in following the location. Unaware of Gai, Inori’s tears created a crystallized flower. Yuu intervenes when Shu, Ayase, Heath, and Akiko fight the envoy of Da’ath. The rest of the protagonists split into groups in fighting Daryl (with Kenji backing him up), Arisa (especially Makoto vs Arisa), and the Phantom Remnants & Haruka confronting Keido.
Yuu is defeated as the envoy escapes. However, as Shu’s main group makes it to the top floor, they are too late as Mana is fully revived.

- Shout-Out: Ann's words to a beheaded Kamoshida before burning him says "WELCOME TO MY WORLD, BITCH!" is taken from Freddy vs. Jason.
- Violet decapitating Rossweisse references Éowyn beheading the Witch-king's Fellbeast from The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King.
- The kills from the Oni-Blade Slasher references Friday the 13th kills.
