The ninth episode of Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog.
Momma Robotnik has broken out of the Asylum for Really Bizarre Mothers to get her birthday present. Dr. Robotnik decides to catch Sonic for her for her birthday.
This episode provides examples of:
- Abusive Parents: Momma is both physically and verbally abusive to her son, and it is implied that this turned him to both villainy and him being incredibly abusive to his own robots.
- Attack of the 50-Foot Whatever: At one point in this episode, Scratch attacks a village using an odd walker machine which is basically a cockpit attached to massive walking steel beams with overly massive shoes.
- Bears Are Bad News: Momma reprograms Robotnik's Fuzzy Wuzzy teddy bear to be a giant, four-armed two headed mutant that tries to attack Sonic and Tails.
- Beyond the Impossible: The knife Sonic throws somehow manages to cut both Robotnik's phone line and Grounder's despite them not being in the same room.
- Birthday Episode: This episode takes place on Momma Robotnik's Birthday.
- Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: Momma Robotnik's able to convince Tails that she's an innocent old lady who desperately wants her son to become a good boy by pitching a sob story about Robotnik losing his favorite toy. The moment Tails leaves, she laughs at his gullibility.
- Bowdlerise: The Toon Disney broadcast of this episode cuts out the scene where Sonic literally cuts through Grounder's phone line with a knife.
- Brawn Hilda: Momma is a huge, fat, ugly woman.
- Cut Phone Lines: Sonic tricks Scratch and Grounder into thinking they are contestants on a game show he is hosting. Robotnik sees this from the monitor in his lair and tries to call them to warn them about Sonic, but Sonic literally cuts through Grounder's phone line with a knife, which also somehow cuts Robotnik's phone line, much to the latter's bewilderment.
- The Ditz: Coconuts tries to shoot Sonic with an automatic weapon as Sonic is standing atop him. This results in Coconuts losing his head when Sonic runs away.
- The Door Slams You: Robotnik orders Scratch and Grounder to stop whoever's invading his fortress. Just as they run up to the front door, Momma kicks it open, and crushes them with it.
- The Dreaded: Momma is so crazy and evil that even Robotnik is terrified of her.
- Even Evil Has Loved Ones: Momma explains to Tails that Robotnik turned to villainy when he lost Fuzzy Wuzzy, his favorite stuffed teddy bear. When Robotnik and Momma trap Tails and Sonic comes to his rescue, Momma turns Fuzzy Wuzzy into a robot that can transform into a giant, four-armed two-headed mutant. Robotnik is horrified when Sonic hooks Fuzzy Wuzzy to an electric fence, resulting in the bear being electrocuted. He starts shouting for somebody to help the bear, even going as far as to throw himself onto his hands and knees and beg Sonic to spare him, to Momma's shock.
- Girls with Moustaches: Momma has a mustache, just like her son.
- Green Aesop: This episode's "Sonic Says" segment has Sonic explain to the viewers why trees are good for the environment and encourage them to plant some if they live in the city.
- Losing Your Head: Happens to Coconuts after the Chili Pot Robot shoots it off his body.
- Lost Toy Grievance: Momma shows Tails an old home movie of Robotnik as a baby, who turned bad when he lost his favorite teddy bear, Fuzzy Wuzzy.
- Manipulative Bastard: Momma tricks Tails into heading towards her trap by acting as though she's an innocent woman who doesn't understand how her son turned out so horrible and wants him to become good.
- Pet the Dog: Robotnik shows that he sincerely loves and cares for Fuzzy Wuzzy, the teddy bear he grew up with as a child and which was his only friend. While Fuzzy Wuzzy is a killer robot that basically turns into a creepily real grizzly with four arms and two heads, he still loves him all the same, even begging Sonic to save Fuzzy-wuzzy from being destroyed and promising to stop his latest evil plot, much to Momma's shock.
- Rouge Angles of Satin: Early in this episode, Coconuts is in a tool booth near a sign that says, "Dr. Robotnis's Lab Get Lost".
- Series Continuity Error: In this episode, Tails is perfectly capable of writing a letter to Sonic to tell him he's going to Chaos City, yet in a previous episode, "Slowwww Going", Tails could only scribble.
- Squashed Flat: Happens to Scratch and Grounder after they get flattened by their own boulder that they try to flatten Sonic with.
- Uncanny Family Resemblance: Momma is a bigger, fatter, ugly, bustier Robotnik in a dress with little girly eyelashes.
