- Ironic Nursery Tune: Finn plays a game he calls "Cloud Hunt", a hide-and-seek like game that starts with him reciting a creepy poem that seems to be about nuclear fallout.

- Milholland Relationship Moment: It turns out Marceline doesn't mind that Finn and Jake were in her closet. In a twist, it turns out she snoops on them all the time! It is, however, a strong possibilty that Marceline really did take issue with it and made up the part about spying on them as retribution.
- Minimalist Cast: Just Finn, Jake and Marceline.
- Mirror Routine: When Finn catches him hiding inside Marceline's house, Jake tries to pass himself off as Finn's reflection in the window. Finn catches on quickly, and calls Jake out for failing to properly mirror his movements.
- Non-Nude Bathing: Jake is seen wearing a Modesty Towel in the shower, and then putting on a second towel as he gets out so Marceline doesn't see him bathing.
- Shout-Out: The trophies in Marceline's bedroom include what appear to be the head and arm of the Pale Man from Pan's Labyrinth.
