- Talking to everyone, both the various NPCs and your own party via Party Chat, results in a lot of questionable scenes.
- In one instance, you can talk to two kids trying unsuccessfully to milk a cow. Your party observes among themselves that said cow is male, and Melvin/Mervyn comments that he milked many a teat in his day.
- This is even translated to the remake. While Mervyn never mentions the latter line, you can talk to your party and Ruff will say "Hey, isn't that a bull?"
- This line from the original version
Engow Mayor: Let's go get piss drunk!- One line, thanks to some antiquated english, comes off as very questionable - a villager mentions that the monsters "raped us of our women". Actually, this is a correct usage of the word.
- The 3DS version has less party chat than the PS1, but you can still get a few gems. Namely, Maribel mentioning that a currently unwed woman can lay with whoever she wants and it's none of their business.
- This instance also comes from when a woman is found with a guy on top of her. You can see their petrified bodies before freeing them, and it looks like they were petrified while having sex.
- In the ending, you can see an old woman sitting across from another woman using the "Playboy bunny" model. Talking to both reveals the playboy bunny was an old man originally and profession changed at Alltrades... and the woman asks if she should become a strongman for her husband-turned-playboy bunny.
- "Puff-Puff" makes its return. If Maribel or Aishe use it, it usually makes enemies skip their turn (even visibly female enemies), whereas when the Hero, Mervyn, or Ruff use it, it causes damage.
- In one instance, you can talk to two kids trying unsuccessfully to milk a cow. Your party observes among themselves that said cow is male, and Melvin/Mervyn comments that he milked many a teat in his day.
