My, is this guy really the intelligent character? Oh! Come to think of it, the 'Genius Character' is just based on the writer's words. Within the novel itself, there weren't many scenes where Peacock's genius was demonstrated. As a male protagonist, any problems would be solved after a few scenes, after a few chapters, he was simply the richest man in the empire. This was basically how the story went. Whatever the specs and background of a character, ultimately, a character cannot go beyond the writer's thoughts. Thus, Peacock Melody was a 'Genius Character' created by the writer who wasn't all that clever.
Melissa Foddebrat, Beware the Villainess!

It's tempting to say this author is bad at characterisation, but that's not quite true. He's very good at characterisation, but terrible at making it match his intentions. I have a good picture in my head of Lord Potter the self-righteous arrogant bastard, Hermione the submissive damsel, and now McGonagall as a Wormtail figure abandoning her friends when someone more apparently powerful comes along, but that's obviously not what the author intended.

My god, Tyrion is not smart, he's a goddamn reckless idiot who absolutely sucks at giving advice: his battleplan for invasion was so monumentally stupid that even Emilia Clarke commented he might be an undercover agent secretly working for Cersei, and his plan to go north for a wight actually led to the fall of the Wall. And yet Jorah even weirdly says that Tyrion owns his mistakes and learns from them. Owns his mistakes? Learns from them? How exactly did Tyrion own or learn from the murder of his father or Shae? Has anyone held him accountable for those actions? How about his battle plan or his wight quest? Did he apologise to Beric for getting Thoros killed? Did he apologise to Emilia Clarke for getting her dragon killed? Did he apologise to Kit Harrington for the Wall? What on earth has he owned or learned from? This is fucking gibberish.

They almost look like elves, but they're far too tall, and far too savage.
