Quotes / Evil Counterpart Race

Like their brethren in the World's Edge Mountains, the hardy Dwarf settlers managed to survive this chaotic apocalypse, though they were not able to shelter from its mutating energies. Over time, they began to change: for the most part their bodies were unscathed, but their minds were slowly corrupted by the malevolent forces of Chaos.
All that was good and noble in the Dwarfs became bitter and twisted as they gave their souls to Hashut, the Father of Darkness. No longer content to work their mines and forges themselves, they set about enslaving members of neighbouring tribes, and founded a dark empire built on the sweat and blood of other races. In their own tongue, they gave themselves the name of Dawi'zharr (literally "Dwarfs of the Place of Fire") but to the rest of the world these hateful, warped outcasts became known simply as the Chaos Dwarfs.

Some amongst the Elves would have it that only we become Vampires; proof of the inherently Chaotic and debased nature of mutable Man. However, there are those who say the Dark Ones are a degenerate form of Elf, that there is an entire nation of Chaos-worshipping Dwarfs in lands to the east, and even that the Halflings begat the Goblins. Perhaps each race has its evil mirror?

Picture everything that is admirable in the Dwarfs; their great skill in war, their iron resolve, their dedicated craftsmanship, and their unwavering determination to survive and achieve their goals. Now take all of those traits and shudder as you see them employed at the service of Chaos. That is the horror of the Chaos Dwarf host. They are Dwarfs, but twisted into a foul parody of the noble warriors who have gallantly stood for so long at the side of the Empire. They have embraced the dark powers, willingly delving into the secrets of foul magic and losing much of what they once were in the process. As to what they’ve gained, who can say?

The Sheikah became outcasts, forced into exile. Some, like us, chose to cast off our technological advances and strove to live normal lives. Others fostered a hatred towards the kingdom that shunned them. These sad souls swore their allegiance to Ganon. They now call themselves the Yiga Clan. Their sole mission is to eliminate all who stand against Ganon. Please, dear hero... be careful out there.
