Santa Claus: Christmas every day is a very bad idea, Elmo.
Elmo: But why?
Santa Claus: Because it's better to wait for Christmas, and have it once a year, and have a life in between. Christmas is fun, but every day is too much. (Singing) Every day can't be Christmas. That wouldn't be such a treat. You can get tired of chocolate candy when that's all you eat. Every day can't be your birthday. That wouldn't be much fun. Too many birthdays aren't half as nice as one. That you wait for… Wait for joy and recall that if every day was Christmas, there wouldn't be Christmas at all.
Santa explaining in speech and in song to Elmo why Christmas can't occur every day.

Bob: I'm sorry. We sang so much, we lost our voices.
Bob and the carolers in the Bad Future, after a whole year of non-stop singing.
