- In the middle of a news report, Kermit is approached by a father who tries to take his microphone, claiming his kid wants it as a Christmas present. Kermit ends up in a scuffle with him.
- Another instance when the Easter Bunny (portrayed by Harvey Fierstein), forced to do business as the "Christmas Bunny", tries to sell off his Easter eggs as Christmas gifts and demonstrates their many uses, to which the eggs proceed to do the "can-can" dance.
- Mr. Johnson's encounters with Grover selling trees are this, but what stands out are the last two times. In one instance, Grover sells him a decorated coatrack. In the other instance, Grover sells him the sign "Christmas trees for sale". He's agitated both times.
