"Hey Ben. Get set to wear the blue."

A monthly podcast in which two New Yorkers, Eric Szyszka (of We Hate Movies) and Ben Worcester, have set themselves the task of watching every episode of the early 1980s William Shatner-starring cop show T.J. Hooker and recapping it while making as many jokes as possible.

Provides examples of:

  • Accentuate the Negative: Downplayed; the two genuinely do enjoy the show, but they're not shy about pointing out how hokey, cliched and reactionary it can be.
  • Audience-Alienating Premise: Discussed in-universe; the two frequently note that a podcast about an early 1980s cop show is quite possibly the last thing that would appeal to a twenty-first century internet audience.
  • The Cameo: Eric's co-podcasters from We Hate Movies (Andrew Jupin, Chris Cabin and Steve Sadjak) will occasionally drop by to discuss an episode.
  • Memetic Molester: Discussed in-universe; our hosts are convinced that Officer Romano, Hooker's partner and the show's resident Mr. Fanservice ladies man, is some kind of sex-offender based on how much time he spends hitting on any woman who enters his radius.
  • Running Gag: Eric's bungling efforts to start the show with his devised Catchphrase, as seen as the page quote.
  • Self-Deprecating Humor: The two hosts often joke about their podcast being the last thing that anyone on the internet could possibly be interested in and how it is consequently a massive waste of everyone's time.
  • Spin-Off: In-universe, Eric and Ben have come up with TJ Future, which based on their telling appears to be a blending of the show, The Terminator, Back to the Future and Judge Dredd.
