Basic Trope: A character mistakes breast milk for a different type of milk.
- Straight: Bob is visiting Alice's house and he gets thirsty, and sees milk in the fridge, but right before he begins to drink it, Alice tells him that it is breast milk.
- Exaggerated: All the milk in Alice's house is breast milk.
- Downplayed: Alice informs Bob that the milk has a few drops of breast milk in it.
- Justified: Alice pumped out some breast milk for her baby and put it in the fridge because she wanted to cool the baby down as it was summer.
- Inverted:
- A human baby suckles from a cow thinking her to be their mother.
- Bob is a weird sort, or a bull, who actually wanted to try to human breast milk for some reason, but is told it's not breastmilk but soy or cow milk.
- Subverted:
- Alice says "Just kidding" after telling him it's her breast milk.
- Bob thinks he's drinking breast milk. It turns out to be formula.
- Double Subverted: It's actually her sister Greta's breast milk.
- Parodied: Bob somehow suckles from Alice like a baby, before realizing what he's doing is stupid.
- Zig Zagged: Alice teases Bob by saying "You're drinking breast milk, just kidding, although I did leave some breast milk in the fridge to give to my baby, but I put it on a different shelf, did I?", et cetera.
- Averted: There is no breast milk on the show, no milk at all, or there is breast milk but nobody drinks it or almost drinks it except babies.
- Enforced: ???
- Lampshaded: "Did I just drink breast milk?"
- Invoked: Alice reused an old milk container for her breast milk, but informed nobody else.
- Exploited: Bob actually likes the taste, or maybe even has Lactophilia that he never admitted to anyone... So Alice offers some kind of trade for her milk (either selling it, or trading it in exchange for favors.).
- Defied:
- Bob never drinks any milk while not at home for fear of drinking breast milk.
- Discussed: "The other day at Alice's I nearly drank breast milk, she shouldn't put that stuff in the fridge or she could at least label it."
- Conversed: "You know when a character drinks breast milk? Well I wonder what it tastes like?"
- Implied: Bob writes "I drank breast milk by accident" on his Facebook page.
- Played for Laughs: After being told it was breast milk, Bob does a Spit Take, and then the Laugh Track plays.
- That or Bob just keeps drinking it anyway.
