- Exaggerated: Bob and his True Companions all stumble on the stone at the same moment and each sees their greatest wish: Bob sees an artifact that will let him defeat Emperor Evulz, Alice sees a potion that will change her species so that she doesn't have to keep proving herself to everyone and can be with Bob, Charlie sees an amulet that will let him retrieve his father from Another Dimension, Dracone sees a sword that will make him the mightiest warrior in the entire world, and Eva sees an elixir that can heal her village of a curse.
- Downplayed: Bob finds the Stone of Aryengni and sees valuable supplies for the fight against Evulz.
- Justified: The Stone of Aryengni is enchanted specifically to cause this effect.
- Inverted: Bob stumbles onto the Stone of Dartedagre, which shows him what he fears and, in his most pessimistic moments, believes will happen: he fails to defeat Emperor Evulz, leading to continued tyranny, misery, and much of the realm becoming blighted.
- Subverted: Bob stumbles onto a strangely glowing stone and instantly rejoices that he has found the artifact to help him defeat Emperor Evulz...but it turns out the stone really will help him defeat Emperor Evulz.
