Basic Trope: A character who is meant to be an expy (or is otherwise based on) Wolverine.
- Straight: Badger is an often-aggressive Anti-Hero who can have long claws extend from his hands. He's also incredibly strong, and has a high Healing Factor.
- Exaggerated: Badger is a Captain Ersatz of Wolverine, down to having a very similar suit and using all of his common catchphrases.
- Downplayed: Badger has Wolverine Claws, is named after a mustelid, and says "bub" on occasion, but that's about the only things he has in common with Wolverine.
- Justified: Badger is a fan of the character of Wolverine and wants to base himself on him.
- Inverted: Badger is supposed to be based on Sabertooth, one of Wolverine's arch-enemies.
- Subverted: A character is based on Wolverine... the animal of the same name, that is.
- Double Subverted: While the character bases themselves on the animal, they get some inspiration from the comic book character as well.
- Parodied: Badger is a laughably inefficient imitation of Wolverine with Wolverine Claws made from kitchen utensils, or constantly cuts himself with his claws.
- Zig-Zagged: ???
- Averted: There are no characters based on Wolverine.
- Enforced: The work is meant to parody/homage the superhero genre, so having a character based on Wolverine only makes sense.
- Lampshaded: ???
- Invoked: ???
- Exploited: ???
- Defied: Badger decides to be original, and go his own route with his abilities.
- Discussed: ???
- Conversed: "Wolverine is clearly a popular character, considering just how many characters are based on him."
