- Straight: When Alice is excited, her sentences ends with ♥
- Exaggerated: Alice ♥♥♥ liberally ♥♥♥ sprinkles ♥♥♥ her ♥♥♥ sentences ♥♥♥ with "♥♥♥". ♥♥♥♥♥
- Downplayed: During a chapter involving ♥kittens♥, some of Alice’s sentences ends with ♥ She doesn’t do that in any other chapter ♥
- Justified: Alice is a Genki Girl ♥
- Inverted: When Alice is sad, angry, or frightened –anytime except when she’s excited— her sentences ends with ♥
- Subverted: When Alice is lovestruck, her sentences end with ★
- Double Subverted: Immediately after, she starts using both ♥ and ★, sometimes at the same time. ★♥
- Parodied: The tall, muscular, husky-voiced Manly Gay Bob ends his sentences with ♥note
- Zig Zagged: Alice uses a wide variety of symbols in her dialogue, including ones with no obvious context for her tone of voice. ♜
- Averted: Nobody uses heart symbols in dialogue, or any kind of symbol.
- Enforced: The creator of the work has a significant other ♥ who likes to use ♥ and has grown fond of it, so he decides to include it in the work ♥
- Lampshaded: “Stop the ♥ already!”
- Invoked: Alice liberally sprinkles her sentences with ♥, believing that it will make her cute like in Shoujo♥Manga♥
- Exploited: The Alpha Bitch Betty then thrash her in front of everyone ♥Betty: ‘’You are a♥fucking♥creep♥’’
- Defied: Bob rips the ♥ from Alice’s speech bubble and promptly stomps on it. Alice never do it again.
- Discussed: Does anyone else find using ♥ odd? I mean, I don't think anyone would actually say ♥ in conversation ♥
- Conversed: "Is it just me, or does Alice's voice sound like the audio representation of a heart? Like, not a heartbeat, but the shape of a heart, like a valentine?" ♥
- Implied: Alice is a character in an audio/audiovisual work, so there's no written dialogue for there to be a ♥ in, yet other characters claim they can hear the hearts in her speech. See "Conversed" above.
- Played For Horror:
- Alice’s sentences end with ♥, to indicate the Brown Note aspect of her voice, her being a Humanoid Abomination ♥
