Basic Trope: When someone gets hurt in a certain part of their body, they say something like "Ow, my [body part]!"

- Alice gets clonked around and then says, "Ow, my—" and gives a Long List of body parts that hurt.
- Alice complains about a body part that wouldn't realistically feel pain due to having no pain receptors, like, "Ow, my hippocampus!"
- Downplayed: Alice bonks her head on something. A few seconds later she mutters "My head hurts..."
- Justified:
- Truth in Television.
- Alice is informing others of where she was injured so they could treat her.
- Inverted:
- When a headache Alice had suddenly goes away, she says, "Hey, my head doesn't hurt anymore!"
- Alice bonks her head on something, and Bob says "Ooh, your head!"
- Alice somehow injures her body, arms, and legs all at once. She says, "Well, at least my head is fine."
- Subverted: When Alice says "Ouch, my—", Bob interrupts her.
- Double Subverted: "As I was saying, ouch, my head!"
- Parodied:
- Alice says "Ouch, my soul!"
- Nations as People say "Ow, my region!" or "Ow, my monument!"
- Alice, a Sleazy Politician, is caught making a racist remark on a hot mic. "Ow, my electoral chances", she moans.
