Basic Trope: Someone who can't be harmed via most ways.
- Straight: Alice is punched, struck, shot at, etc., and she is fine after all this. However, there are other methods to hurt and actually kill her, such as drowning or being burned alive.
- Exaggerated: Alice can't die. She's punched, kicked, headbutted, shot, burned, drowned, nuked, dunked in lava and acid, smashed, and she acts like nothing of this had even happened. And she is 90,000 years old.
- Downplayed: Alice's Achilles' Heel is much more prominent and inclusive; Sometimes it takes More Dakka to actually put her down, or by either severing her brain from the rest of her body or destroying the brain altogether.
- Justified:
- Alice is a goddess or a semi-goddess.
- Alice is Made of Iron.
- Alice has Super-Toughness as her superpower, and it's way more effective than one might expect.
- Alice used Applied Phlebotinum to get this power.
- Inverted: Alice is a One-Hit Wonder, BUT she actually manages to survive an extremely powerful attack that nobody else can.
- Subverted:
- Alice might seem like this, but she's actually moving away blows with a hidden forcefield.
- Alice might seem like this, but she actually has a Weaksauce Weakness.
- Double-Subverted:
- But once she actually does get hit, she actually is nigh-invulnerable.
- But once she actually does get hit by said Weaksauce Weakness, she takes countermeasures to prevent it from even happening.
- Parodied: Alice can't die. She is always afraid everytime there is danger.
- Averted: Alice isn't immune to harm.
- Lampshaded:
- Why Won't You Die?
- "Good luck defeating her several times."
- Invoked:
- Alice uses Applied Phlebotinum to get this power.
- God blesses Alice with this.
- A Mad Scientist uses Applied Phlebotinum to make Alice become Nigh-Invulnerable.
- Exploited: Alice gets a job as a stuntwoman, knowing that she’ll survive even the most dangerous stunts.
