Basic Trope: A couple (usually teenage) that can't stop making out with each other.
- Straight: Alice and Bob are together and can rarely keep their hands off of each other.
- Exaggerated: Alice and Bob are making out all the time, even when they would normally not be doing so.
- Downplayed: Alice and Bob make out often, but restrain themselves from going overboard.
- Justified:
- They're hormonal teenagers.
- They're still in the "honeymoon phase" of their relationship.
- Inverted: Alice and Bob are together, but make out a lot with other people.
- Subverted: Alice and Bob often wander off to do something together, and everyone assumes they're making out... but in reality, they're just gossiping about their friends.
- Double Subverted: ...And also making out in-between sharing gossip.
- Parodied: Alice and Bob are constantly making out, and no one else sees anything of the ordinary.
- Zig-zagged: ???
- Averted: Alice and Bob don't make out excessively, or at all.
- Enforced: "How can we show that Alice and Bob really love each other?"
- Lampshaded: "Get a room, you two!"
- Deconstructed:
- Alice and Bob only make out instead of actually getting to know each other, and they eventually separate as they find out that their interests are very dissimilar.
- Alice and Bob's constant PDA annoys all their friends to the point that they don't bother asking either of them to hang out anymore, so Alice and Bob only have each other.
