Basic Trope: Furry animals drape themselves over a person as though they were fur garments.

  • Straight: Alice wears her pet arctic fox around her neck when she goes out for a fancy dinner.
  • Exaggerated:
    • Alice's fur closet is actually a bunch of pet houses full of minks, foxes, and chinchillas, all trained to join into the shapes of various garments.
    • Alice's fluffy winter coat is actually a bunch of foxes stacked on top of of each other.
  • Downplayed: Alice just lets her pet cat take naps while resting on her shoulder.
  • Justified:
    • Alice is hosting a charity dinner for protecting a nature preserve. Wearing her fox this way draws the attention of the attendees, so they don't just think of the animals as something distant.
    • Breeds of animals that can join together like coats are still very expensive coats, so it's still a luxury to wear them.
  • Inverted: Alice's pet is a giant mink, and she likes to drape herself over his neck while he takes a walk.
  • Subverted: Alice claims the fox she's wearing is alive, but it turns out to be a pelt.
  • Double Subverted: No, not her fox cape, but the fox wrapped around her wrist. That is alive.
  • Parodied:
  • Zig-Zagged: Alice alternates between wearing live animals and not at given types of occasions.
  • Averted: Alice doesn't have any pets, and she just wears a regular fur coat.
  • Enforced: The producer's brother is a specialty animal trainer, so having Alice wear a living fur wrap will be a good Product Placement for his brother's work.
  • Lampshaded: "Did you see Alice wearing animals? Not Hyperbole, she was wearing whole, live animals."
  • Invoked: The royal family has a bunch of ermines that they trained to form capes on the royal family for important events (just to show off that they could train them to do it).
  • Exploited: Alice's pet fox hates taking long walks, so her having him drape over her instead just makes his day.
  • Defied: Alice's pets won't demean themselves this way.
  • Implied: The tail on Alice's fox seems to move slightly in between shots.
  • Discussed: Alice suggests this as something she'd do if she had the money, time, and patience.
  • Conversed: "Who even wears whole, live animals in the real world?"
  • Deconstructed: Alice tries to train her pets to do this, but those who can even stay on her body just look ridiculous.
  • Reconstructed:
    • She doesn't care about looking ridiculous.
    • She tries again with different animals, and it looks better.
  • Played for Laughs:
    • The fox around Alice's neck like to brush its tail against her cleavage, because he gets a few laughs from seeing her yelp every time.
    • Alice finds herself naked, but her pets wrap themselves around her like a Fur Bikini until she gets home.
  • Played for Drama: Alice is Cruella to Animals, so they weren't trained to do this in a pleasant way.
  • Played for Horror: Alice's fox wrap is an actual fox, and Alice trained her to rip the throats out of anyone who mistreats Alice.
