Basic Trope: A creature swallows another creature whole without chewing.

  • Straight: Muncher finds a bunny, and swallows it whole.
  • Exaggerated: Muncher swallows every bunny he finds.
  • Downplayed: Muncher just keeps the bunny in his mouth.
  • Justified:
    • Muncher is a snake.
    • Muncher does not have teeth.
  • Inverted: Muncher chews excessively before spitting the bunny (very clearly dead) out of his mouth.
  • Subverted: Muncher catches a bunny in his mouth, but ends up chewing it after a while.
  • Double Subverted: Muncher was actually moving it around in his mouth, not chewing it.
  • Parodied: ???
  • Zig-Zagged: Muncher swallows some bunnies, but chews others.
  • Averted: Muncher chews.
  • Enforced: ???
  • Lampshaded: "Muncher, you'll choke if you do that again."
  • Invoked: ???
  • Exploited: The bunny knows Muncher will only swallow him, and drops a bomb inside his stomach.
  • Defied: Muncher has very big and sharp teeth, meaning hurting the prey is inevitable.
  • Discussed: "Are you going to chew him up, or are you just going to swallow him?" "I'll just swallow him."
  • Conversed: ???
  • Implied: We're treated to a Shadow Discretion Shot of Muncher eating a bunny, followed by a cutaway of the other characters' reactions to it, but his teeth lack any of the blood or gore you'd expect to see if he chewed and there wasn't any sound indicating that he'd actually broken anything in eating the bunny.
  • Played For Laughs: Muncher swallows a very annoying bunny, then says "I thought he would never shut up."
  • Played For Drama: The bunny was the main hero of the story, meaning he has to get out of Muncher's stomach before he gets digested.
