Go To

Basic Trope: A heroic character (usually male) who has a harem composed of slaves

  • Straight: Bob is The Hero and he has a slave Harem of 5 Girls.
  • Exaggerated: Bob has any girl who has to partake in slavery under his belt.
  • Downplayed: Bob has some girls who are from slavery, some who are not
  • Justified: Bob lives in a society where slavery is thought of as great, Bob isn't that much powerful at all so he cannot change the law, however he could loophole the system by purchasing girls and treating them as equals.
  • Inverted: Bob is a slave yet because many high-ranking girls take pity on him, they all come to be emotional support for him.
  • Subverted: Charlie believes that Bob has a slave Harem, but when he comes to check in on him, he finds that Bob has a normal harem.
  • Double Subverted: "...but when Charlie leaves his House, Bob pulls up a sheet of paper that conforms that he is a slave owner.
  • Parodied: ???
  • Zig Zagged: ???
  • Averted: The Harem is a regular one
  • Enforced: The author has a fetish for this sort of stuff and wants his Self-Insert to have such a thing.
  • Lampshaded: ???
  • Invoked: ???
  • Exploited: The government uses the fact that Bob partakes in slavery to make him comply to their rules, and therefore thwarting Bob's plans to stop them.
  • Defied: "Listen, I will help you, however I will do it by what's morally right! If I want your love than I must not partake in such a bad system!"
  • Discussed: Charlie: "Bob, I understand you want to help those ladies, however aren't you giving more power to their oppressors by partaking in this system?"
  • Conversed: "Why do some Anime heros have this? Yes it is power fantasy, but what about the women in the Harem?"
  • Implied: Bob is a slave owner and he has several girls as slaves
  • Deconstructed: Charlie questions if Bob really is a hero, since he is willing to contribute to such a horrendous system, and the ladies themselves in the Harem wonder if Bob will ever actually free them, and after growing frustrated with Bob doing nothing but helping slavery, they revolt and flock to Charlie, who believes in Screw the Rules, I'm Doing What's Right!.
  • Reconstructed: Thing is, the moment Charlie is arrested and summarily executed, the ladies realize that, while working under an infinitely more horrible slave driver, Bob really is a hero. He's treated them like equals, he's given them the spoils of combat, even taught them how to fight and defend themselves, and have basically been an absolute turning point in their lives. In spite of the fact that he may contribute to slavery, at least he treats the slaves like actual people.
