Basic Trope: See your planes scramble for visual appeal.
- Straight: Wikistan's Alpha Squadron has their pilots scramble to their planes and take off in a very smooth pattern, led by Alpha 1 "Samson".
- Exaggerated:
- Not only does Alpha Squadron take off, their Airborne Aircraft Carrier takes off in an Epic Launch Sequence! Alpha Squadron also consists of hundreds, if not thousands of aircraft. And on top of all that, it's predicted that there will be a Sky-Consuming Dogfight against Tropeland's Omega and Kappa Squadrons, so they're also accompanied by the local One Man Air Force Reaper 1, who leads Alpha Squadron in an almost ballet-like barrel roll towards their targets.
- And on the other end of the Sky-Consuming Dogfight, Tropeland's Air Force starts scrambling into their planes, with Omega 1 leading both Omega and Kappa Squadron after their own Airborne Aircraft Carrier gets its own Epic Launch Sequence.
- Downplayed: Reaper 1 is cleared for takeoff, and does so with finesse, even if he's the only one that takes off from the runway.
- Justified: Alpha Squadron had just been assigned a mission; How else are they going to be getting there, by boat?
- Inverted:
- Tropeland's Kappa Squadron takes off in a horrendous manner, crashing into one another and making a mess all over the runway.
- Kappa Squadron lands in a horrendous manner, some of them even crashing into some nearby hills (nearby as in the closest being a good 5 nautical miles away).
- Alpha Squadron has their pilots smoothly land on the runway.
- Subverted: Alpha Squadron scramble to their planes, only to find out that they're Sitting Ducks as Tropeland's top secret stealth interceptor Psi Squadron arrives at the Wikistani Airbase and bombards it to hell...
- Double Subverted: ...But thankfully, they were Crazy-Prepared and had a second runway designed so that Alpha Squadron could take off from underground, going out of a very secret hole, which means that they get to go through this trope successfully and fend off Psi Squadron.
- Parodied: Cameras are set up all over the runway for this express purpose, and it's broadcasted to Wikistani television shows all over the country.
- Zig-Zagged: Sometimes there's a launching sequence, other times there isn't.
- Averted: There is no launching sequence.
- Enforced: Rule of Cool, and the creator likes Technology Porn.
- Lampshaded: "Alpha Squadron, you're cleared for takeoff. Good hunting, and let's make this takeoff real scenic!"
- Invoked: Like the setup for Parodied, but Wikistan wants to broadcast it for the propaganda purposes.
- Exploited: Undercover Tropers rig the warplanes with bombs, so that once Alpha Squadron takes off, they'll come crashing down in fiery balls only moments later.
- Defied: Cameras are not allowed on the Wikistan runways; They might get damaged.
- Discussed: "So, you think they'll be setting up cameras here? Let's hope they capture the real beauty of our birds!"
- Conversed: "Man, this intro sequence never fails to get me all hyped up!"
