  • Straight: Bob is a skinny guy why places himself in a suit covered in padding that makes him look muscular.
  • Exaggerated: Bob is an absolutely emaciated guy that wears a suit that makes him look positively riled like a meat mountain.
  • Downplayed: Bob puts on a skin a shirt that just has muscles printed on it.
  • Justified: Bob wants to impress Alice by wearing big fake muscles because Women Prefer Strong Men.
  • Subverted: Clark Kent Outfit
  • Double Subverted: But actually Bob’s Clark Kent Outfit is a fake and he actually doesn’t have real muscles underneath.
  • Inverted: Bob wears a compression outfit to make himself look thin.
  • Parodied: Bob’s fake muscles are so inflated they lift him higher the bigger they get.
    • When he pops his muscles Bob flies around like a balloon.
  • Averted: Fake muscles make the user look stronger.
  • Defied: “Bob looks very different today? Check and see if his muscles are the real deal.”
  • Zig-Zagged: Bob trains to get stronger but couldn’t make it in time so he wears fake muscles for the competition. Later as he is being judged everyone noticed his muscles are fake but as he is removing them it turns out he really did make his muscles bigger. But not enough to win.
  • Enforced: We want to make Bob look strong and confident so his actor is getting fake muscles for the show.
  • Lampshaded: “Did you notice that Bob’s muscles are bigger then before.”
  • Discussed: “If I make my muscles look bigger Alice will notice me more.”
  • Conversed: “It’s a bit excessive that they made Bob’s muscles look bigger then they already are.
  • Invoked: Bob knows that bigger muscles will allow him to intimidate the competition.
  • Exploited: Bob’s fake muscles are a good armor for protecting him in battle.
    • Bob’s fake muscles are also good as flotation devices for when he’s out at sea.
  • Played for laughs: Bob carries a bike pump and some patches incase his muscles deflate on him.
  • Played for drama: Bob is actually sad about his lack of physical development so he wears fake muscles to make himself feel confident in life.
  • Played for horror: Bob’s muscles are inflated inside his body resulting in his muscles being pulled every time there inflated.
  • Implied: Bob is seen looking small and skinny but in the next scene his muscles are big and powerful looking.
  • Deconstructed: Bob’s fake muscles make him look stronger but doesn’t actually make him stronger.
  • Reconstructed: Still his muscles got the attention of Alice who likes to play with Bob and his new muscles.
