Basic Trope: In a series with Anyone Can Die, there is an entry where nobody does.
- Straight: Adventures in Troperland is a Grey-and-Gray Morality series where usually at least one notable character a book dies. Suddenly, out comes the book Troperland Victorious where everyone lives.
- Exaggerated:
- Every book of Adventures in Troperland ends with everyone dying, in Troperland Victorious, nobody is even injured.
- All the characters who died in the previous books are brought back to life.
- Downplayed:
- In Troperland Victorious there are some casualties in the background, but the main characters all live.
- The characters all live but one of them becomes a bedridden invalid.
- There's only one death (or at least very few) in Troperland Victorious, but other entries in Adventures in Troperland have far more.
- Justified:
- Adventures in Troperland is a saga chronicling centuries of life in the country. Troperland Victorious depicts a period of peace and prosperity, while the rest of the books are set in wartime.
- Just this once the Big Bad was too dumb to kill anyone.
- Adventures in Troperland mostly deals with mortal characters, but Troperland Victorious focuses on fairy beings who are immortal and impossible to kill.
- The entry Troperland Victorious was intended for children, and having a character die would likely upset the targeted audience.
- Inverted: Adventures in Troperland always end with everybody surviving, but Troperland Crushed has an "Everybody Dies" Ending.
- Subverted: It seems like that. Then Bob reveals he has ingested a slow-acting poison and has only a couple of days to live.
- Double Subverted: Only for Alice to find for him the antidote.
- Enforced: The author deliberately made the tone of the book lighter to appeal to younger readers or to release it as a Christmas special.
- Lampshaded: "I'm amazed! Now, it seems, we'll actually all survive!"
- Deconstructed: Everyone just manages to avoid death, but the whole civilization has collapsed and people don't know what to do with their lives.
- Reconstructed: Until they build a new civilization together.
