- Straight: Alice is a zombie, and is very good-looking.
- Exaggerated: Alice is somehow the most beautiful person in the world while also being a zombie.
- Downplayed: Alice is quite good-looking for a dead person.
- Justified:
- Alice was a beautiful person when she was alive, and Beauty Is Never Tarnished.
- Alice actively tries to avoid letting herself get too shabby.
- Alice has a Healing Factor that counteracts the rotting, meaning that she’s biologically stuck on “very recently dead”.
- Inverted: Alice is a very ugly-looking zombie.
- Subverted:
- Bob is attracted to Alice, but she reveals she is really just a bunch of gnomes stacked on each other.
- Alice looks like an attractive zombie, but it turns out she's just a human wearing makeup.
- Alice looks attractive at first, but turns out to be hiding some nasty rot.
- Double Subverted:
- And then the gnomes turn into zombies. Bob is attracted to them and starts a relationship.
- Then she does become a zombie and retains her good looks.
- Alice is able to heal the rot without much effort.

- Averted: There are no zombies.

- Enforced: "What kind of Cute Monster Girl should someone be attracted to this time?" "How about a cute zombie?"

- Invoked: Alice was made a zombie by a magic deal, and she specifically stipulated that she retain her good looks as a condition of the deal.
- Exploited: Alice uses her looks to trick people.
- Defied: Bob, a zombie hunter, injures Alice to make her more repulsive so as to stop people from falling for her.

- Conversed: "What is up with these zombies? Aren't zombies meant to be evil?"
- Deconstructed: Despite being physically attractive, Alice is still very much dead, and most of her body parts don't work how they should. There's no way that she could have a physical relationship with anybody.
- Implied: In a setting where most zombies are the typical rotting monsters, Bob's beautiful dead wife Alice is mysteriously seen up and about, with no apparent damage to her looks. This isn't ever explained.
