Nightmare Fuel / Ultra Galaxy Fight: The Absolute Conspiracy

Go To

  • If you thought Leo's Downer Beginning was bad, then seeing Ultraman Max getting outnumbered by Hellberus and Alien Sran inside Maga-Orochi's nest at the first chapter of the story takes the brutal opening to a whole new level. It gets worse, Max gets infected with Gudis' cells and is bound to become Maga-Orochi's sacrifice the instant it hatches. Ribut wasn't able to do anything but watch and forced to retreat. The fact that Max's appearance is designed after Seven doesn't help matters either.
    • Let's review the events again. The infamous planet eater Maga-Orochi is given the Gudis Cells, belonging to another force capable of sending the entire universe into turmoil gathers in one place at a time. Remember, back in Ultraman: Towards the Future, Ultraman Great had stated that his people (the Land of Light residents) had been fighting Gudis' threats across the universe for a very long time. And fast forward into episode 2, we learn that the cells are capable of accelerating Maga-Orochi's growth rate into Magatano-Orochi if the threat isn't taken care of. So not only Max is at the verge of death, so is the entire universe itself. Ultraman Orb was very lucky in his home series that the original Magatano-Orochi had an Achilles' Heel, or else this one may be a bigger threat.
  • The second episode is race against time for the Ultra warriors involved, with Hikari and Sora have to finish the antibodies for Max as soon as possible. The real kicker is that the Gudis cells in his body start to eat him away, as shown with a monster arm already manifesting on Max's left arm.
  • The end of the third episode is a proof that it's not easy to get into Tartarus's good graces, even if you owe him a debt of gratitude for saving your life. Alien Sran gets blown to oblivion by the Absolutian for his failure.

-The Divergence-

  • Even before his exile, Belial starts exhibiting early symptoms of a textbook sociopath which would define him from that point on after his merger with Rayblood. To begin, he kills Alien Empera's lackeys (Godola, Nackle, and Babarue) even though they surrendered right in front of Ken when the said villains were already at his mercy. And for Belial, "mercy" is the last word you would find on his vocabulary.
Ken: Why did you shoot? They had lost the will to fight!
Belial: How can you be so naïve!? They were on the side of Alien Empera who started this war!
  • Alien Empera displaying his full might by slaying a group of Ultras in front of him with a slash. We never seen any of them after the explosion despite Ken and Belial receiving the same hit and was none the worse for injury. However, this is Empera fighting with full strength in his youth, as during his debut in Ultraman Mebius he was simply as old as the Father of Ultra.
  • Tartarus' moment in exposing Belial of his future fate was seen as an unpleasant take from in-universe perspective, making it more of a Mind Rape process. After seeing his death at the hands of his future son, Belial lets out a rather eerie laugh, implying that he has Go Mad from the Revelation and went into Despair Event Horizon.
  • The end of episode 4 has Tartarus amassing a Legion of Doom consisting of Reibatos, Juda Spectre, Mold Spectre, Alien Bat and Zett. The real horror here isn't Tartarus amassing a good number of heavy hitters, but the fact that three of them are supposed to be dead the last time we saw them. Like how Tartarus tampered with Belial's past, its more than likely that the golden being has polluted the timeline of the Ultra Series to his own liking.
  • Hunter Knight Tsurugi attacking a defenseless Ultraman Tregear is both this and a Tear Jerker; so much so that Tregear has lost respect for his former mentor who is consumed by revenge.
    • Tregear suffering the effects of Night Fang's Nightmare Wave and seeing hallucinations of Hikari's fall to the dark side. This ultimately causes him to snap the moment he is greeted by Tartarus.

-The Appearance-

  • Tartarus is not the only one who revives a deceased Ultraman villain on his own, but allows Reibatos to do the deed on his behalf. And who does Tartarus brought back from the dead? The Alien Bat from Ultraman Saga, who then proceeded to coerce him into serving the Absolutian by creating an army of Zetton and, the most powerful of all Zettons: Space Fear Demon Zett.
