- Renard has a bullet in his head. It will end up killing him and slowly destroys his senses. He creepily shows off the effects by holding burning hot rocks in his hand... before forcibly passing it off to one of his minions. Burning and screaming ensues.
- For the first time in all the Bond franchise, M's life is directly threatened.
- The buzzsaw helicopters manage to approach Zukovsky's factory without Bond noticing and start chasing him.
- Bond is strapped to a medieval torture chair by Elektra, who intends to slowly break his neck's bones.
- The Cigar Girl's absolutely terrified and despairing delivery of "Not from him!" before she blows herself up very effectively sets Renard up as The Dreaded.
- M shouting "BOND!!!!!!!!!!" in an absolutely terrified voice. Bond himself reacts very quickly to this and runs upstairs to the cell she's being held in. Considering that during her tenures in both the Craig and Brosnan eras as M she's shown herself to be fearless, and wasn't scared of Raoul Silva even in the slightest right until the end, hearing her sound fearful is very unsettling.
