Mummy Sandbox is a surreal Adventure Game made by z_bill. You are a Mummy exploring forgotten sandboxes. Rebuild your body, exhume corpses, and become the mummy you always wanted to be!
Mummy Sandbox was featured as part of the Haunted PS1 Demo Disc: 2021 collection, before releasing as a standalone full game on October 8th, 2021 on Steam and Itch.
Mummy Sandbox contain examples of:
- Anti-Frustration Features: If the player gets themselves stuck at any point, they can pause the game and manually respawn themselves.
- Cool Shades: Grabbing the pair of glasses will allow the mummy to see better, as well as changing the music theme.
- Excuse Plot: You're a mummy. Collect ribbons, build sandcastles, and dig up graves!
- Frankenstein's Monster: One of the corpses the player can dig up, which the game warns the player about attaching the head to the dog's body. Which later serves as the Final Boss of the game.
- Grave Robbing: The game averts the usual way this trope is with mummies by having the mummy being the one to exhume bodies and taking items from them.
- Faceless Eye: The mummy starts as a single eye being collected by a ribbon to form a "mummy."
- Jump Scare: After putting the Frankenstein head on the dog, the game does a sudden closeup with the creature roaring.
- Mummy: As indicated in the title. Mummy Sandbox however takes the minimalist route possible by having the player start as nothing but a Faceless Eye and a pile of ribbons before making their own body by collecting more.

Quirky Work: "Weird" would be the most accurate word to describe this game. - Zero-Effort Boss: In keeping with the casual tone of the game, the one "enemy" that the player encounters only strips them of their ribbons, making them collect them again to return to their full walking speed.
