Nightmare Fuel / The Legend of Korra: Turf Wars

  • The Fire Nation is revealed to have had laws against same-sex couples during Sozin's time. The image accompanying this information? Two women in handcuffs being taken away by guards. Who knows what happened to them.
  • Everything involving Tokuga that isn't cool or awesome;
  • Imagine yourself in Asami Sato's position. You're working on a construction project late at night, in your office, with no-one else around. Then the head of the local criminal gang and two of her thugs - all of whom are capable of controlling the earth below and around them - casually waltz into your office, and remark how unfortunate it would be if you weren't able to complete your project, to try and get you to accept a protection deal. You're outnumbered by three people with superpowers, have no way of getting out the office, no way of calling for help, and you know that these people would have no issue with attacking you, and no problem burying the body afterwards. And you have no weapons of your own except martial arts and an electrified glove...
    • Then imagine yourself in Korra's position. You learn that your girlfriend was threatened by a group of criminals last night. She tries to assure you that she can take care of herself, and invites you out for a date tonight. You decide to have faith in her, dress up smart and head to the place the two of you agreed to meet up at, but she's not there. No problem, she might have just been delayed by a few minutes. But then she doesn't show up for 15 minutes, and half an hour later she's still not there. And then you call her home, but get no answer. And it's not like she's the kind of person who'd stand you up...
      • And then you learn that she's been kidnapped by another criminal, who is currently very pissed off with you. And all you can do is imagine what he might do to her to keep you in line or get back at you...
    • While we're at it, imagine yourself in Tokuga's position. You decide to kidnap the girlfriend of the local Physical God to prevent her from interfering in your schemes. Then you reveal this to her, and her response is to charge at you with a look of pure rage and scream "WHERE'S ASAMI?!" before attacking you with a gigantic blast of wind. Then you remember that she has three other elemental superpowers, and currently isn't using her Super Mode. Unless you have a very good ace up your sleeve, you are not going to win this fight. And consider that, however you try and use her girlfriend to threaten her, it's likely only going to make her retribution worse in the long run. And, just to twist the knife; it might slip your mind that Korra is NOT Aang and violence isn't off the table with her...
    • And just for good measure imagine Wonyong Keum's position since the end of Part 1. The thugs you hired to do your dirty work are pissed off at you for getting curbstomped by spirits instead of the usual humans, benders or not, the leader of said thugs is now a mutant with a chip on his tentacle who is now your boss using your bank account to fund his city-wide coup while you've been a hostage so long that your own loved ones don't know where you are, your natural habit of privacy means your subordinates aren't rushing to find you and even then, want to keep things low-key for reputation's sake which ironically was the same shield that kept the police from blatantly looking into your dirty dealings. You've probably been stowed away in a backroom or basement all this time while tied to a chair, (hopefully just "most" of the time,) and by the time you see fresh air, it's looking down from an airship onto your captor looking extra-demonic amongst the flames as the people you once treated as pests and now need to help you are in no position to do so, so you have even less hope and no idea how long you'll be useful to your captors. All because you wanted land to build an amusement park.
