Nightmare Fuel / The Hanged Man

Go To

  • When Will was a little kid, he witnessed a man hanging on a tree. He was unable to understand what was going on and thus treated it as nothing shocking.
  • Ed is nightmare fuel central. He killed his abusive father in a blind rage and ran into the old building that five murders took place in fifteen years ago. What's more is that George, the one behind the murders, told him that performing those murders will make the person "happy", mainly doing it to someone sinful. Once he encounters Will, he decides that he wants to kill Will, but only after he recovers a notebook detailing the method. Once he learns the method, he goes looking for Will. It doesn't really help that he speaks in an eerily calm voice, especially when he's about to string Will up and slice his stomach.
  • Bad End 1: A Cornered Rat has Keith die by Ed’s hands and Will being so distraught over witnessing his corpse that he throws up. When Ed returns thinking Will is ready to die, Will snaps and shoots him with Keith’s gun. The stress of both events causes Will to suffer a major Sanity Slippage and to develop a “kill or be killed” mentality. The ending concludes with him calling David at a phone booth and panning to the gun in his hand, implying he’s planning to kill David.
