Altough the game is usually humorous and light-hearted, it does occasionally contained some pretty scary things.
- The thing living in the Dark Woods, an embodiment of fear itself. Its lair is filled with the mementos of its previous victims, and it's implied that they wasted away of hunger and thirst because they were too scared to move.
- Getting pregnant without doing anything for that purpose can be a terrifying idea for many women. Ivodora was in love with Nate so she wanted the child in the end, but if she hadn't been...
- This also shows why the Artefact of Divine Fate should never be brought back into the world : holding onto it for a few days, long before she and Nate even started a relationship, left Ivo with enough latent magical energy for Nate's subconscious wish to come true.
- Ethel having to gnaw her own leg off to escape (what she perceived to be) a deadly situation.
- Feodora mentions a mysterious cataclysm which engulfed and destroyed an entire fairy kingdom. A black nothingness consumed an entire realm and not even the elves know what really caused it.
