Exar Kun trapped in the darkness for millennia at the end of the final chapter of The Sith War (as pictured to the right). His screaming face illuminating in the dark just makes it worse. And Ulic is unable to hear him since he was previously cut off from the Force.
When Kun interrupts Ulic's trial, he digs his fingers into the Supreme Chancellor's head and forces him to repeat after him as he denounces the Republic senate. When Kun's finally done with the poor guy, he unceremoniously drops his body to the floor in a pool of his own blood.
The supernova Ulic and Kun trick Aleema into causing. The cataclysm obliterates her, her partner Crado, and three Jedi, all in a horrendous manner.
Ulic's death at the end of Redemption is also rather brutal (as well as sad), with a spacer's blaster shots ripping through his chest right out of nowhere. Not helping is the ensuing Mood Whiplash, as he dies right after reconciling with Nomi and Sylvar.
Sylvar comes off as sort of an Anti-Hero due to her anger issues, and whenever she attacks with her claws she looks even fiercer than a berserk Wookiee. She spends the bulk of Redemption out for revenge on Ulic for her losses in The Sith War and almost kills him before he convinces her to let go and move on.
Although he had it coming, Ulic being stripped of his Force powers by Nomi Sunrider after he murders Cay in a lightsaber duel is this as well as a Tear Jerker. Nomi herself immediately regrets her actions when she sees what she's done to him.
